‘When we lose a monument, we lose a story’

“On this International Day of Monuments and Sites which falls on April 18, each year, we come together under this year’s theme: ‘Disasters & Conflicts Through the Lens of Heritage’. While Seychelles may not be a country plagued by war or armed conflict, we must recognise that our heritage is still under threat – from neglect, carelessness, climate change, and at times, from deliberate acts of vandalism.
