Seychelles establishes diplomatic relations with Congo and Honduras   |26 September 2026

On the margins of the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, Seychelles formally established diplomatic relations with the Republic of Congo and the Republic of Honduras on September 24, 2026.

The move reflects a shared commitment to promoting mutual cooperation and strengthening friendly relations between Seychelles and the two countries.

The establishment of diplomatic relations is founded on the principles of the United Nations Charter and respect for the fundamental norms of international law, particularly the promotion of international peace and security, equality among states, and respect for national sovereignty and independence.
