Firefighters enhance their knowledge about fire investigation |08 April 2025

A dozen fire officers from the Seychelles Fire and Rescue Services Agency have been able to enhance their knowledge about fire investigation methods following a session with Anina Burger, a fire expert investigator from Hexagon Fire Investigation company in South Africa.

This was during an engaging two-hour session last week, which also saw the participation of chief fire officer Tally Domingue and deputy chief fire officer Jones Madeleine.

The aim of Mrs Burger’s talk was to share knowledge and expertise such as what to look out for when conducting an investigation during and after a fire, different techniques that can be used to determine the cause of a fire, including the lines of questioning when talking to witnesses.
