Diageo plc sells its 54.4% shareholding in SBL to Phoenix Beverages Ltd |03 April 2025

Diageo plc, the British multinational alcoholic beverage company, has sold its 54.4% shareholding in Seychelles Breweries Limited (SBL) to Phoenix Beverages Ltd, a subsidiary of Mauritius-based IBL Group.

Phoenix Beverages, known for its significant and expertise with regard to brewery across the Indian Ocean Islands, has been a long-time partner to Diageo in Mauritius, especially in producing Guinness and Smirnoff Ready-to-Drink (RTD) alcoholic beverages such as Smirnoff Ice and Smirnoff Red Ice for Seychelles Breweries.
