Police announce passing of officer |18 January 2024

The Seychelles Police Force have announced the passing of one of its officers, Corporal Rodney Jeanne, which occurred on January 16.

The announcement was through a press communique issued yesterday.

CPL Rodney Jeanne joined the Seychelles Police Force on January 1, 2015 as a Constable and was promoted to the rank of Corporal in February 2022.

He started his career at the Seychelles Vessel Protection Development (SVPD) before transferring to the Public Order and Tactical Response Unit (POTRU).

Prior to these positions, CPL Jeanne had served the force as an officer in regular duties and antinarcotic unit.

“CPL Jeanne has dedicated years of his life to the Police Department and he would be deeply missed by all officers, especially his close friends,” read the press release.

The Commissioner of Police, Ted Barbe, and the Seychelles Police Force have expressed their sympathy to his family.
