Seychellois passport holders will now enjoy faster, more efficient entry when arriving home, thanks to the official launch of the Seychelles Citizen Corridor – also known as the Citizen Fast-track Lane – on Thursday afternoon at the Seychelles International Airport.
This new dedicated arrival lane is open exclusively to Seychellois citizens and accredited diplomats. It is designed to streamline the arrival process, minimise wait times, and offer a smooth and welcoming return to the country.
The project is part of the government’s broader effort to modernise and simplify border services using technology.
To mark the occasion, Minister for Internal Affairs, Errol Fonseka, joined the Minister for Transport, Antony Derjacques, for a ceremonial ribbon-cutting at the airport.
Minister Fonseka described the corridor as a milestone achievement made possible through collaboration between several key agencies, including immigration, customs, the police, the health department and the Seychelles Airports Authority.
