Air Seychelles announces seasonal direct flights to Réunion Island starting this July |05 July 2025

Air Seychelles has announced the return of its direct flights to Réunion Island, beginning this July. The seasonal service will operate weekly on Sundays, providing a convenient two-and-a-half-hour flight that connects Seychelles with Réunion during the bustling summer months.

Réunion is renowned for its stunning landscapes, including the active volcano Piton de la Fournaise and the dormant Piton des Neiges. Visitors can enjoy a range of outdoor activities such as hiking, shopping, canyoning, and rafting, while taking in scenic waterfalls and pristine beaches.

These flights are scheduled to align with Air Seychelles’ connections to Abu Dhabi, enabling seamless transfer to a wider global network through Etihad Airways. This offers travellers an excellent opportunity for dual-destination holidays or extended travel options.

Charles Johnson, chief commercial officer of Air Seychelles, said, “We’re excited to be heading back to Reunion every Sunday in July. This service coincides with the French school holidays, making it an ideal time for Réunion residents to explore Seychelles. With a flight time of just over two hours, these non-stop flights are expected to be very popular.”

Although the direct flights are available only in July, Air Seychelles maintains year-round connectivity to Réunion via four weekly flights through Mauritius, ensuring flexible travel options throughout the year.
