Airtel Seychelles’ Christmas ‘rendezvous’ with the community |05 January 2024
The year 2023 was been no exception; Airtel Seychelles once again delivered on its CSR commitment and brought smiles to the Seychellois communities.
On this occasion, a strong team of staff members mobilised to spread the Christmas and New Year spirit to residents of East Mahé region.
When the rallying call was made earlier in December, the response was immediate and positive. A variety of personal and household items like washing machines, water dispensers, beds, mattresses, toys, and clothing were collected.
Marie-Pierre Volcère, CSR Lead, said: “The event was made possible by the personal contributions of our staff, motivated by their sheer willingness to show compassion and to honour our company’s CSR philosophy. As a responsible corporate organisation, we align our business growth with the social and economic well-being of the communities where we operate. Our CSR programmes are executed at the local level through our employees, thereby directing contributions to areas of greatest impact.”
The visit was made even more special with our very own in-house Santa delivering, among others, sweets and Airtel goodies to everyone he met on his way, bringing them the Airtel Christmas and New Year spirit.”
Eddy Kapuku, CEO, Airtel Seychelles, added: “We are highly supportive and committed to supporting employees in doing charitable work in their communities, and we are happy that for the year 2023 again our team went the extra mile to touch the lives of many Seychellois in the East region of Mahé. We have indeed been touched by their appreciation and words of comfort throughout the visits.
“I take this opportunity to thank each and every Seychellois for their support over the year and wish every Seychellois family a Happy and Prosperous New Year 2024.”
