As the New Year approaches, Linyon Demokratik Seselwa (LDS) acknowledges and recognises with thanks all the support we have received from the people of Seychelles. Your encouragement motivates us to continue to work towards building a better and more prosperous country – one that every Seychellois will be proud to call home.
2023, has been a challenging year for many Seychellois, particularly when international events and domestic calamities have threatened to dampen this year’s festive spirit. Once again LDS sympathizes with everyone who has suffered losses during the year. Your resilience is a source of inspiration for how we should overcome adversities.
Despite everything, it is with a profound sense of joy and optimism that we are looking forward to 2024. A new year always brings with it a renewed sense of optimism and hope for a brighter future.
LDS shares this feeling of optimism. We are conscious that the country’s future lies in the hands of every hardworking Seychellois. We are therefore inviting everyone to work together towards making ‘Sesel Pour Tou Son Zanfan’.
Our party in 2024 will remain a critical partner in the development of Seychelles and its people, through our active participation in the Executive and Legislative branches of government, by remaining attentive to the people’s concern and addressing their welfare.
LDS is of the view that every Seychellois has a critical role to play in the development of Seychelles by building trust at political level, participating in consultation opportunities, denouncing growing negative tendencies in our communities, and recognising our personal responsibilities as a member of our society.
We extend a hand of friendship to all those who subscribe to the aspiration of a free and democratic state governed on the principles of rule of law, good governance, a performing economy with the help of a hardworking and responsible nation.
Once again, best wishes for a peaceful, prosperous and healthy 2024 to every Seychellois.
