30-day free container storage facility for affected businesses in Providence

 

As part of the support extended to the business community, Land Marine Ltd in conjunction with the lndustrial Estates Authority have negotiated to provide additional free container storage facility to those businesses operating within the Providence lndustrial Zone that have been affected by the December 7 explosion at Petit Paris.

Under this facility, Land Marine Ltd will provide affected businesses within the Zone with free container storage facility for a period of 30 calendar days.

To qualify for this special facility, affected businesses within the Providence lndustrial Estate must process an application by filling in and submitting a December 7 Disaster Special Container Storage form available from the Land Marine Ltd. cargo check point, contact number 2536062.

Eligible businesses must provide their consignee name, business operating location, D&DO Number, gate pass number and container size.

The 30-day free storage facility will only apply after the standard clearing formalities have been completed and the gate pass is issued by Land Marine Ltd.

To note that any rent due before the D&DO is processed and issued will have to be settled in full. After exhausting the 30 days free storage period, storage charges will apply at the rate of R100 per day for a 20ft container and R200 per day for a 40ft container.
