Seychelles Breweries gets new managing director   |07 October 2023

Seychelles Breweries has announced the appointment of Yvonne Mwangi to the role of managing director and general manager of Diageo Indian Ocean effective September 11, 2023.

Ms Mwangi has over 20 years’ business experience, having worked previously for Coca-Cola and Weetabix in East Africa before joining Kenya Breweries in 2016 as head of Customer Marketing. 

Prior to her appointment as MD to Seychelles Breweries and GM to Diageo Indian Ocean, Ms Mwangi was head of Sales Nairobi, the largest mainstream Division in Kenya. 

Ms Mwangi is described as a resilient, self-driven and forward-looking leader, focused on delivering results and comfortable navigating ambiguous situations.  She is also passionate about people development and growth. 

The appointment of Ms Mwangi as MD of Seychelles Breweries and GM of Indian Ocean brings the percentage of women in leadership in the company to 66% which further highlights the focus on a diverse and inclusive culture in Seychelles Breweries and Diageo.
