Second gold medal for Iven Moïse

After his exploit in the 10,000m race where he won a gold medal following his first place finish in 30 minutes 48 seconds, bettering his old Seychelles record of 31 minutes 40 seconds, long distance runner Iven Moïse won his second gold medal, this time in the 5,000m, on Saturday.

A lieutenant in the Seychelles Defence Forces’ elite unit, Moïse clocked 15 minutes 02.51 seconds (15:02.51).

Also on Saturday, Seychelles won two bronze medals in track and field, precisely from handisports athletes Jerry Thérésine in 1500m wheelchair, and Samuel Morel in long jump.
