Pension Fund invites photographers to showcase talent in 2024 desk calendar competition   |02 September 2023

The Seychelles Pension Fund is delighted to announce the return of its highly-anticipated 2024 Desk Calendar Photography Competition.

This exciting event provides a platform for photographers to demonstrate their creativity while vying for the chance to win R1,000 and see their work featured in the official calendar.

Participating in the competition is simple. Entries can be submitted via the Seychelles Pension Fund's (SPF) Facebook and Instagram pages.

The theme for this year's competition revolves around traditional games, and each of the 12 winning photographs, determined by the number of likes, will earn the photographer a prize of R1,000.

Photography enthusiasts are invited to take part based on the following criteria: Entrants are requested to post their photos in the comments section on Facebook or their own Facebook page.

Winners, once selected, are required to submit their winning images in landscape format and high resolution via email.

Photographers are encouraged to submit as many photographs as they desire. However, only the photograph with the most likes will be chosen as a winner. It is important to note that all photos submitted will become the property of the Seychelles Pension Fund. The organisation reserves the right to use these images in its marketing campaigns after the competition.

The competition's closing date for submissions is September 18, 2023.

In an interview with Seychelles NATION, marketing and public relations assistant Vanessa Dingwall explained the inspiration behind this year’s theme.

“This year we went for traditional games because once again, it brings families and friends closer to promote the values which we have,” stated Ms Dingwall.

She further elaborated that the SPF values engaging with its members in activities which are one of the driving forces behind hosting such competitions.

"We do not want it to be a one-sided affair where we dictate everything. We encourage our members to actively contribute to these initiatives, allowing them to play a part in creating our calendars."

To conclude, she reiterated that there are absolutely no limitations placed on photographers when it comes to capturing the perfect picture. Everything is at their disposal, and they have complete discretion to decide how they want to achieve that ideal shot. “We are very flexible,” she concluded.
