DStv rewards new subscribers in monthly competition |03 April 2023

Three new subscribers of Digital Satellite Television (DStv) in Seychelles have each been awarded a Hisense 55” flatscreen TV with a Soundbar following their participation in a new competition launched from October to December last year for new subscribers.

The three – Brenda Hoareau, Faheem Aloo and Martin Roucou – were the lucky winners for October, November, and December, respectively.

They received their prizes during a short ceremony on Saturday at Star Casino on Eden Islandin the presence of the general manager of Zane Holdings Ltd, Anton Chiazzari.

It was the popular local singer, Travis Julienne from K radio who is the DStv’s influencer, who did the honours of presenting the prizes, sponsored by Home Electronics, to the enthusiastic winners. 

The winners were selected through a random draw of new subscribers for each three months by the company’s director, Joel Morgan.

The winner for the month of October, Brenda Hoareau, said she did not expect to be a winner and was unaware that DStv was running a promotion.

Ms. Hoareau said she had just started using DStv in October 2022 and her experience so far has been nothing but amazing, with the varieties they offer.

“To be completely honest I did not even believe it when I initially got the call that I have won because the date planned for the prize giving was April 1, which everyone associates with April fool’s day. So, I was taken aback a little bit,” she said.

The new subscribers’ competition along with the Soccer World Cup, attracted a large number of new subscribers for DStv, some of whom also qualified for the Free Zapper Decoder Price Promotion which had been ongoing since the start of the World Cup. This is ongoing until the end of the football season in June.

Mr Chiazzari explained that the Free Zapper Decoder Price Promotion is to encourage new subscribers to see what they have to offer.

“We are aware that the initial installation is quite expensive, so the promotion is just to try and help them overcome the initial amount they have to pay,” he said.

DStv has also announced there will be another promotion in June.
