Chinese community joins embassy to celebrate Lantern festival |13 February 2025

The Chinese community in Seychelles celebrated the Lantern festival yesterday, marking the end of the Chinese New Year celebrations.

For the first time, the Chinese embassy organised a reception to honour the cherished tradition.

In the presence of First Lady Linda Ramkalawan, Chinese ambassador to Seychelles, Lin Nan, highlighted the significance of the event as a celebration of China’s rich cultural heritage, and as an opportunity to strengthen the bonds between China and Seychelles.
