Seychelles delegates return
The delegation that was representing Seychelles at the National Cadet Corps Youth Exchange Programme 2023 New Delhi, India, is back in the country.
This educational and cultural trip has in many ways contributed towards the participants’ empowerment and professional development as they engaged in various activities including Republic Day Camp, national events, national parade, interactions with dignitaries and visit/sight-seeing to various places of historical and cultural importance.
Being exposed to the culture of India and actively participating in the activities have, in many ways, empowered their lives, created new networks and will forever remain a treasured moment of their existence.
The Citizens Engagement Platform Seychelles (Ceps) in its role as the national platform for associations in Seychelles, in collaboration with the government of Seychelles through the Foreign Affairs department, Youth department and the Seychelles National Youth Council (SNYC) were responsible for their participation through the Indian high commission in Seychelles.
The people of Seychelles are forever grateful to the government of India through the Indian high commission in Seychelles for the inclusion, collaboration and fruitful partnership in shaping our young generation.
Following a very competitive process, ten youths along with two youth leaders qualified from the three main islands of Seychelles – Mahé, Praslin and La Digue. They have been active members of the Young Citizens Movement, the Duke of Edinburgh Award, The Unique Foundation (NGO) and Emergemcy Crew. Moreover, they also represent professional institutions (Seychelles Business Studies Academy, Seychelles Institute of Teacher Education) as well as other work organisations.
The accompanying photos show some highlights of the delegates’ participation in the National Cadet Corps Youth Exchange Programme 2023.
