Marc Arrisol appointed National Sports Council’s new chief executive

President Wavel Ramkalawan yesterday announced the appointment of Marc Arrisol as the new chief executive of the National Sports Council effective from January 1, 2023.

He replaces Jean Larue who has been in the post since August 1, 2018.

Mr Arrisol holds a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education, majoring in Social Science.

He also holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, from the University of Waikato in Hamilton, New Zealand.

He started his career as a Geography teacher and has held several leadership positions in education.

Until most recently, Mr Arrisol was the head teacher of the Mont Fleuri secondary school.
