Victoria City sink Au Cap

Newly promoted Victoria City defeated Au Cap 3-1 at Stad Linite on Thursday afternoon in a Transitional league division one encounter.

Kelly Nibourette set the 2018 second division winners on their way to victory in the 14th minute for a 1-0 lead but Au Cap leveled the score 1-1 on the stroke of half-time through Mederick Jean-Baptiste.

Victoria City regained the lead on the hour mark courtesy of a penalty awarded by referee Keren Yocette which was coolly tucked away by their captain Leroy Chetty to make it 2-1 and Hubert Jean confirmed his team’s win with a late strike for a 3-1 final scoreline.
