PTL Bazar Brothers’ Caf tie to be decided in one match

PTL Bazar Brothers’ Confédération Africaine de Football interclub campaign has taken an unexpected turn, with the Seychelles club now set to face Democratic Republic of Congo side DC Virunga in a single decisive match in South Africa.

The change follows the cancellation of Bazar Brothers scheduled away fixture in the Democratic Republic of Congo on September 6, after the club were prohibited from travelling to the country by the Ministry of Health.

The original tie was expected to be played over two legs, with PTL Bazar Brothers travelling to Congo for the first match before hosting the return fixture in South Africa.

However, the failure to play the first leg has prompted the Confédération Africaine de Football (Caf) to revise the format of the encounter.
