Seychelles Holistic Healing Fair this weekend |05 July 2022
Compared to the days of our fore parents, everyone agrees that life has become more facilitated. We can sit at home and order products online, we have machines that help us clean our home and for many people their office can be anywhere.
This new ease of life has, however, been counterbalanced by a stressful drive to compete, to achieve and to remain abreast of the newbies of life. Many are faced with the challenges of the increased cost of living, while others deal with issues including relationship break ups, lack of sense of purpose, health problems amid others.
What can we do to have a more wholesome and fulfilling life?
Holistic health is about having harmony in the physical, financial, emotional, and spiritual aspects of life.
Our physical health includes healthy nutrition which can be a combination of nature’s provision such as fruits, vegetables, wholegrains, proteins. Excess sugars and processed foods are detrimental to our wellbeing. The heavy use of fertilisers can damage the quality of the foods we eat. Therefore, conscious and informed buying is important so we consume healthy sources of food. Physical exercise is also essential to ensure physical health and wellbeing as it reduces stress, manages weight and maintains muscle strength and mobility.
Financial instability can result in overwork and stress. Being able to manage our budget brings about a calm state of mind.
Our emotional health comprise of our ability to manage our thoughts, process our emotions and remain present and live with mindfulness.
While our spiritual health involves our connection and relationship with our Divine self.
All these aspects of our life are equally important in enjoying holistic health.
