515 active cases |12 May 2022

According to latest figures released by the Ministry of Health, the number of active cases of Covid-19 presently stands at 515 andthe 7-day moving average is presently 53.

The highest number of reported current active cases is in Baie St Anne (54), followed by La Digue (50) and Grand Anse Praslin with 32 cases. The districts on Mahé with most active cases are Glacis and Beau Vallon with 31 and 25 cases respectively.

Presently there are 8 patients admitted at the Covid-19 treatment facilities on Mahé.

One Covid-19 related death has been reported, bringing the total to 167 deaths.

The Ministry of Health continues to call on everyone who is due for the Covid-19 vaccination primary or booster dose to visit a vaccination centre. Vaccination remains a valuable tool in the combat of Covid-19.
