Jehovah's Witnesses back to in-person meetings |09 April 2022

All congregations of Jehovah’s Witnesses have resumed holding in-person meetings
All congregations of Jehovah’s Witnesses have resumed holding in-person meetings since the week of April 1, 2022.
Since March 2020, due to the pandemic, Jehovah’s Witnesses’ meetings were held virtually, and their public ministry has been suspended. Since then, they have carried on their ministry through letters and phone calls while holding meetings virtually twice a week.
“In Victoria, the meeting attendance has increased significantly,” said Franck Duthuit, spokesman for Jehovah’s Witnesses. “We enjoyed having so many people from our local communities joining us in our virtual meetings, to find comfort and hope. We look forward to meeting in person all whom we have only met online during our virtual meetings.”
Kingdom Halls (places of worship of Jehovah’s Witnesses) have been equipped with the required technology to hold “hybrid” meetings that allow everyone to attend the meetings in-person or remotely, depending on their preference.
Up to now, Jehovah’s Witnesses have no plan to resume their public ministry. They keep on writing letters and making phone calls to their neighbours.
The move back to in-person meetings precedes two global events. The first is a special lecture scheduled in most congregations on April 10, 2022, entitled, ‘Where Can You Find Real Hope?’. Additionally, the annual commemoration of the death of Jesus Christ will be held on April 15, 2022. Both gatherings will be held in person at local Kingdom Halls with live speakers. No collection is ever taken. For more information, go to jw.org.
