Governor Caroline Abel recognised as being among Global Women Achievers

Governor Abel

The Governor of the Central Bank of Seychelles (CBS), Caroline Abel, has been recognised as being among the Global Women Achievers.

The award conveyed by the World Women Leadership Congress and Awards was received during an event held on Wednesday March 23, 2022.

The award aims to celebrate the professional and personal achievements of women worldwide and their contribution in the various fields in which they are engaged.

Speaking about the award, Governor Abel noted that the recognition is not just for her as an individual, but is also a reflection of the work being done by the CBS as a team.

“The mark of good leadership is reflected in the resilience and perseverance of not only the leader but the team. I am therefore honoured to receive and dedicate this award to my team at the Central Bank of Seychelles, whose passion is behind the successful development and implementation of policies that are helping us navigate recent economic challenges, including the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic.”

The Global Women Achievers award is the second accolade to be received by Governor Abel from the World Women Leadership Congress and Awards, the first being the Africa’s Woman Leaders Award in 2020.
