7th Fina World Junior Swimming Championships 2019 Seychelles represented by four swimmers |24 August 2019
For the first time, Seychelles is being represented at the 7th Fina World Swimming Championships by four swimmers – Lenel Ah-Wan, Tyler Fred, Therese Soukup and Aaliyah Palestrini.
The championships are taking place in Budapest, Hungary from August 20-25 and the team is being led by head of delegation and national team coach Vanessa Narty.
Soukup is taking part in the 50m backstroke, 100m backstroke, 50m freestyle, 100m freestyle, 200m freestyle, 400m Freestyle and 200m individual medley.
Ah-Wan has entered to swim the 100m backstroke, 50m butterfly, 50m freestyle and 100m freestyle.
Fred is competing in the 100m backstroke, 200m backstroke, 50m butterfly, 50m freestyle and 400m freestyle.
Palestrini is swimming the 50m backstroke, 100m backstroke, 50m butterfly, 50m freestyle, 100m freestyle and 200m freestyle.
The four swimmers will also swim the 4 x100m freestyle mixed and 4x100m mixed medley relays.
All four swimmers were medallists at the 10th Indian Ocean Islands Games held in Mauritius last month.
