Six young Seychellois athletes are recipients of the Olympic Scholarships for Athletes ‘Paris 2024’ programme for the quadrennial 2021–2024.

The objective of the scholarships is to help elite athletes in their preparation and qualification for the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad, Paris 2024.

Ned Azemia, Sharry Dodin (athletics), Shain Boniface (boxing), Felicity Passon (swimming), Joelita Coloma (weightlifting) and Loïc D'offay (yachting) are the six athletes who have received the scholarships which offer them a fixed monthly grant for their training and qualification costs.

The ceremony for the signing of the scholarship agreement took place on Monday at the Olympic House, Roche Caïman, but only three of the six athletes were present as the others are currently studying abroad.

Representatives from respective federations were also present as well as members of the Seychelles Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association executive committee.
