ACCS makes further arrest in US $50 million corruption case |27 November 2021

The Anti-Corruption Commission of Seychelles made a further arrest yesterday, Friday November 26, 2021, as part of the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of US $50 million provided to the government of Seychelles by the government in Abu Dhabi in 2002.

The 63-year-old woman, a high-profile civilian, was arrested in a joint operation with the Seychelles police force just before 11am at her residence and is currently in police custody. Enquiries are continuing before a decision is reached regarding applications for further custody which would take place before the court on November 29, 2021.
