149 active Covid-19 cases, community transmissions persist |03 November 2021

Community transmission of Covid-19 is persisting and all districts are reporting cases, the latest update from the Ministry of Health shows.

The 7-day moving average is below 20.

There are 149 active cases – 128 on Mahé, 18 on Praslin, three on La Digue and zero on other islands.

Meanwhile the number of deaths related to Covid-19 complications remains at 119 while recovered cases from the virus stands at 21,952.

The Public Health Authority is urging the public not to let their guard down and to continue to strictly adhere to public health and social measures such as proper wearing of masks, physical distancing, among others to prevent a surge in the number of cases.
