Plaisance (Liverpool) extend winning streak
Plaisance (Liverpool) have extended their 100% winning streak in the Seychelles Schools’ Premier League to four games and a maximum 12 points to sit in the drivers’ seat in the 10-team standings.
Last Friday afternoon at Pointe Larue playing field, Plaisance (Liverpool) earned a thrilling 7-3 win away at Pointe Larue (Everton).
With their fourth win in as many matches, Plaisance (Liverpool) have amassed a maximum 12 points and they have the better attack with 25 goals ‒ the highest in the league.
As for Pointe Larue (Everton) they are in seventh position with 5 points from a win, two draws and a defeat.
Elsewhere, Anse Royale (Leicester City) were at home and they recorded their third successive win, beating Persévérance (Arsenal) 3-1 and in doing so leapfrogged them on the table to third position with 9 points (3 wins and 1 defeat). With two wins and two losses to their name, Persévérance (Arsenal) are now in fourth position after leading the way two weeks ago.
As for second-placed Anse Boileau (West Ham), they continued their impressive start to the season, with a 1-0 win against English River (Aston Villa) at Stad Popiler.
Anse Boileau (West Ham) have three wins and a draw, while fifth-placed English River (Aston Villa) have collected two wins and two defeats.
One of three teams without a victory before last Friday’s match-ups, Belonie (Manchester City) picked up their first win of the season by edging Beau Vallon (Chelsea) 3-2 at Freedom Square.
At the La Retraite playing field, Mont Fleuri (Tottenham Hotspur) dominated against a struggling Independent School (Manchester United), winning the match 8-1.
Mont Fleuri (Tottenham Hotspur) are sixth on six points (two wins and two defeats), while Independent School (Manchester United) are carrying the weight of the table and are the only team yet to amass point in four outings. They also have the worst defence after leaking in 34 goals and scoring just two.
