New chief executive, two deputies appointed

President Danny Faure yesterday announced the appointment of a new chief executive and two deputies of three separate entities.

Thereza Dogley is the new chief executive of the Seychelles Information Commission (SIC) whereas Jessica Larue is the deputy chief executive of the Seychelles Licensing Authority (SLA) and Jourdan Camille the deputy chief executive of the Enterprise Seychelles Agency (ESA).

Ms Dogley holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the Eastern and Southern Africa Management Institute/University of Seychelles.

She began her professional career in 2008 as a senior flight attendant with Air Seychelles.

She moved to the Seychelles Revenue Commission in 2013, where she served as assistant Human Resources & Budget Management Officer, and in June 2019 she was transferred and promoted as senior Human Resources & Budget Management Officer to the Land Transport Department and the Road Transport Commission.

The functions of the Seychelles Information Commission are to:

  • Foster good governance through enhancing transparency, accountability, integrity in public service and administration,
  • Foster good governance through participation of persons in public affairs,
  • expose corruption;
  • recognise the right of access to information in accordance to Article 28 of the Constitution.

Ms Larue holds a BSc Degree in Banking and Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

She began her professional career in August 2014 as the executive manager of the Bank of Ceylon.

She moved to the Housing Finance Company in November 2014 where she served as the loans manager.

In April 2016, she joined the Seychelles Credit Union as the chief financial officer.

Mr Camille holds a Honours Degree in Bachelor of Business Studies from the Shannon College of Hotel Management. He embarked on a career in the hospitality industry in 2016, and had risen to the level of assistant manager within two years.

All three appointments take effect from August 1, 2019.
