Football - St Francis find the going tough, South Olympic lead third division |29 April 2015
Last season’s Barclays league division one relegated side St Francis is surprisingly finding life tough in division two, while South Olympic already look like promotion contenders in division three after the early games.
St Francis are not finding it easy in the bid to bounce right back to the first division after suffering three successive defeats, to leave them dangling at the foot of the table with no points and only a single goal from their first three matches, which included a 4-0 thumping at the hands of newly promoted Plaisance.
They are not the only winless side in the division however, as Au Cap and the Under 17 selection are also yet to win a point in their first matches.
At the other end of the table is Bwalo Boyz, formerly Rude Boyz,, who have won three and drawn one of their first four games to sit atop the table on 10 points. Plaisance occupy second place on the standings and are followed by Victoria City in third.
In the Barclays league third division, free-scoring South Olympic have made a great start to the season, racking up 3 wins from three and scoring a massive 20 goals as well, with half of it coming in the 10-0 demolition of West Coast Brothers.
Tigers are also on 9 points after three matches, with an inferior goal difference, while Baie Lazare who has also played twice are third with 6 points.
At the bottom of the table, Mont Buxton and Beau Vallon remain winless after three games, while West Coast Brothers have collected only one point in their first three games.
