Karate: Northern Tang Soo Do and Seychelles Taekwondo emerge as best schools |11 December 2013

The final Karate tournament of the year, organised by the Seychelles Karate Federation (SKF), took place last weekend at the Palais des Sports and featured competitors from seven schools.

The overall prizes for best school went to Northern Tang Soo Do for the Kata competition with 42, as for the Kumite is was the Seychelles Taekwondo who took home the first prize after accumulating 52 points.

In second place in the Kata category was Kyokushinkai with 34 and Kimura Shukokai were third with 32 points. In the Kumite category second place went to Northern Tang Soo Do with 34 points, followed in third by Kimura Shukokai with 18 points. The school which took part are Kimura Shukokai (KS), Northern Tang Soo Do (NTSD), Seychelles Taekwondo (STKD), Kyokushinkai (KYO), Joshimon (JOS), Combat Tang Soo Do (CTSD) and Ashihara (ASH).

The points were calculated based on the medals collected by each competitor in their respective events. Below we publish the results with the top three in each event:
