Community Development, Youth and Sports Minister Vincent Meriton accepted the valuable contributions during a short ceremony at the Games secretariat at Oceangate House.
Youth, Sports and Culture principal secretary Denis Rose, Games Commissioner Eric Arnephie and fundraising committee secretary Giovanna Rousseau also attended the event during which the Beau Vallon Day Care centre (R1,000), Sam’s Pizzeria (R5,000), Dobi Pty Ltd (R5,000), BM Plastics (R25,000), Behram’s Pharmacy (R5,000), Petit Car Hire (R10,000), Gill’s Pest Control (R10,000), Vision Care Seychelles (R10,000), Mr Emmanuel Laporte (R10,000), Mr Riccardo Carbognin (R10,000), Winner’s Chapel International Seychelles (R10,000), Classic Design (R10,499.95), Kim Koon Motors (R15,000), Kim Koon & Company (R15,000), Vortex Investments (R20,000), Shree Hari Construction (R25,000), Samlo & Son (R25,000), Hibiscus Group (R15,000), Fresh Cuts (R50,000), Harry Savy Insurance (R200,000), Abhaye Valabhji Pty Ltd (R80,000), Roshnie Morel (R124.35 from her piggy 
The Hibiscus Group will also give sunscreen to all Seychellois and Mauritian athletes, while Abhaye Valabhji Pty Ltd’s total sponsorship is R300,000 as it has already giving R40,000 in cash towards fundraising activities and a Sirion car to the Games lottery.
Minister Meriton thanked all the sponsors and assured them that their contributions will be put to good use and every cent will be well spent.
“I’m happy with how people have, over the last two weeks, responded to the call for a better partnership to make the 8th IOIG a success.
“We’ve received so many contributions this week that we have decided to organise two presentation ceremonies this week. The next one is scheduled for Thursday,” said Minister Meriton.
