Mason’s Travel helps cancer care group |30 March 2011
In a short ceremony held at Oceangate House on Monday afternoon, the company’s managing director Alan Mason said Mason’s Travel’s social committee voted to give the money to this worthy cause.
“We carry out a lot of charity work during the year and we usually help orphanages and churches among many, but this time Cancer Concern Seychelles had a very strong case, so we decided to give them the money,” he said.
The company donated the prize money it won for its outstanding float in the Carnaval International de Victoria held earlier this month.
Josie Michaud-Payet, secretary of Cancer Concern Seychelles, said the money will go a long way in helping the work it carries out in the fight against cancer.
“The money will also help in our awareness campaigns, where we teach people about cancer,” she said.
