Organisers of the event say the aim is to give Seychellois designers and musicians a chance to show off and market local talent.

At this time, when import substitution and value addition are so critical, it is encouraging to see they can be incorporated in nearly every field.

As we support the contestants, organisers and sponsors of the event, we commend the patriotic approach and urge everyone to see where we can use or improve on the local resources at our disposal and even consider exporting for our own good and that of the country.
