From the Republic of Korea, Minister Pillay will proceed to China to officially open the Seychelles Embassy in Beijing on September 19, 2007.

It is to be recalled that Seychelles’ first residence Ambassador in Beijing Philippe Le Gall was accredited to the Government of the People’s Republic of China on May 11, 2007.  “The opening of the Embassy is a testimony of the excellent relations which exist between Seychelles and China,” noted the communiqué.

Minister Pillay will also officially open the Honorary Consulate of Seychelles in Hong Kong on September 21, 2007. 
Ms Ning Ning Chen was appointed Seychelles’ Honorary Consul in Hong Kong in May 2007.
