Kenyans celebrate 42nd anniversary of independence |17 December 2005

The gala was marked by a special dinner with typical menu from Kenya, music and very rhythmic dancing, storytelling, and an exhibition of artifacts and clothes from the East African country.

There are about 300 Kenyans working in Seychelles and according to a guest at the gala evening, the independence day celebration provided an ideal moment for all Kenyans to come together to remember those back home and to live their culture in a peaceful way.

During a raffle that was held that evening, Soud Ramadhan emerged as the winner of the star prize, a ticket to Nairobi that was sponsored by Kenya Airways.
There were a total of 10 prizes.
