Unemployment rate falls to 2.3 percent in Q2, 2025

Seychelles’ unemployment rate dropped to 2.3 percent in the second quarter of 2025, reflecting a stronger labour market and an improvement in youth employment.

According to the latest Labour Force Survey (LFS) released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on September 30, both men and women recorded the same unemployment rate of 2.3 percent for the months of April to June. The figure marks a 0.7 percentage point decrease from the first quarter of 2025, when overall unemployment stood at 3.0 percent.
