‘Giving is not just about making a donation but making a difference’ |12 July 2021

Accepting the donation
Charity is the act of extending love and kindness to others unconditionally; a decision made by the heart without expecting anything in return. A charitable act stems from the heart and begins with an inward recognition of a need to show compassion to others.
The greatest gift to our community would be when we contribute to making other people’s lives better, when we touch lives by our acts of donation or charity and by spreading light to those who need it the most.
An anonymous donation of stationery, educational materials and toys was made to Social Affairs and President’s Village. The donation was an act by a Seychellois living overseas, who is very proud of her roots and wanted to give something back to her place of birth.
The donations were officially handed over to the director general for Social Services, Beryl Laboudallon and the manager of President’s Village, Brigitte Balette by a close friend of the donor.
The National Council for Children and all concerned are very grateful to the donor and sends their thanks for such a generous and warm act. The children from the care homes would benefit from the range of products donated.
Sincere thanks and gratitude.
