President Ramkalawan conveys condolences following the passing of Seychelles’ eldest citizen Nancy Marie |13 May 2021

President Wavel Ramkalawan has expressed his deepest sympathy and condolences to the family following the passing of Seychelles’ eldest citizen, Nancy Marie, which occurred on Tuesday May 12.

Mrs Marie was 112 years.

“I would like to convey my deepest sympathy and condolences to the family and friends of Nancy Marie. She leaves us with numerous fond memories of which I am sure her loved ones will cherish forever.  As a country, we are grateful for her contributions made during her life, working in the coconut plantation and oil factory on Praslin as well as in other domains. Nancy Marie will remain an exemplary icon of strength for generations to come,” said President Ramkalawan.
