Trotters Stop opens its doors for Term 2

Trotters Stop pre & primary school started the second term yesterday with 225 pupils.

The director of the school, Poonam Verma, noted that “the start of the school term seemed more overwhelming than ever before. After many weeks of distance learning, which was challenging for children, parents, and teachers alike, children are eagerly waiting to go back to normal learning processes with their peers”.

Ms Verma stated that all the standard safety procedures are being observed as children enter the school’s main building.

Teachers are greeting the children and at the same time checking their body temperature.
“Although hand sanitisers and tissues are installed throughout the school, teachers are also encouraging the students to wash their hands as frequently as they can. Wearing a mask, which is mandatory for teachers, makes their job physically harder due to the strained breathing. It also covers their emotional expressions for some students. Children are young and still need gentle reminders about social distancing during playtime but at the same time we are all learning to cope with new norms and trying our best,” noted Ms Verma.
