President Ramkalawan congratulates CBS High Achievement Scholarship recipient Hilary Baron |15 February 2021

President Wavel Ramkalawan has congratulated Seychellois Hilary Baron, Central Bank Seychelles (CBS) High Achievement Scholarship recipient, following her outstanding performance upon the completion of her university degree as the highest achiever and top of her class.

Ms Baron has achieved a distinction in her Masters of Science (MSc) in Forensic Accounting course at the Sheffield Hallam University in the United Kingdom.

“It is always a moment of delight and great pride to hear about our Seychellois talents excelling in their respective fields. Congratulations Ms Baron on your outstanding performance. The excellent result in your studies is a reflection of your hard work and perseverance. The future of our nation is in the hands of our youth and today as a young Seychellois professional you represent the beacon of hope for the future of our country. On behalf of government and the people of Seychelles I wish you the very best in your future endeavours. We are very proud of you,” said President Ramkalawan.

Ms Baron is the first Guy Morel High Achievement Scholarship recipient to complete a university degree under this CBS programme and she also received the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners Prize, awarded to the student who scores the highest overall marks in the MSc Forensic Accounting course.
