Seychelles on a Quest with CNN |24 December 2020
The Seychelles Islands maintain close collaboration with CNN International through a digital campaign, starting in December 2020, running into the new year, until February 2021.
The campaign extends STB’s ‘Experience Seychelles; our home, your sanctuary’ campaign to CNN audiences worldwide, with a focus on the destination’s key markets, namely, Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Featuring on CNN International.com, CNNTravel.com, Experience Seychelles content site, international media and social media, the digital campaign is guaranteed to make a minimum of 916,609 impressions and a guaranteed minimum of 150,000 social views.
Additionally, further exposure will be achieved, through TV campaigns on CNN International EMEA TV Feed channel and strategic placement around CNN Travel.
Alongside the campaign, Seychelles will also be featured on Richard Quest’s ‘Quest World of Wonder’. Mr Quest is quickly becoming a loyal guest of the tropical paradise, having visited twice this year alone. The acclaimed CNN International anchor featured the destination in his show ‘Quest for Business’, as well as securing an exclusive interview with the President of the Republic of Seychelles, Wavel Ramkalawan.
On his last visit, he had also expressed how impressed he was at the country’s efforts of ensuring safe travel and the local authority’s enforcement of the measures and procedures in place to protect both the travellers and the locals.
‘Quest World of Wonder’, the Seychelles episode, was aired last weekend and will continue over the Christmas weekend, kicking off the 3-month long campaign during the peak season where most families are home for the holidays and are seeking inspiration for their next getaway.
The peak season gives the destination maximum exposure as the campaign highlights the lush environment and vibrant wildlife inhabiting the islands, enticing travellers with its pearly shores and crystal-clear waters.
The STB deputy chief executive, Jenifer Sinon, expressed her excitement for this campaign, saying, “We are pleased to continue this collaboration with CNN, a partner we have worked with in the past. This campaign strengthens our Experience Seychelles campaign, and increases the visibility of the islands as a pristine and safe destination.”
The ‘Quest World of Wonders’ Seychelles episode airs on CNN International on Saturday, December 26, 2020, at 1am ET and 10pm ET, as well as on Sunday, December 27, 2020, at 6am ET and 5.30pm ET. Following this, the episode will be uploaded online at a later date.
