Ceps thanks Seychellois for exemplary behaviour

The Citizens Engagement Platform Seychelles (Ceps) has expressed its satisfaction with the peaceful manner the electorate has displayed during the election period. “We have showed the world that elections can surely be conducted in a peaceful and exemplary manner,” says Ceps in a communiqué.

Ceps adds it has also observed several logistical weaknesses and challenges in the manner the electoral commission secretariat handled the voting process.

“We also take this opportunity to congratulate President Wavel Ramkalawan and wishes him lots of courage and wisdom as he takes up this new challenge as the President of the Republic of Seychelles. Ceps assures the new government of the continued working relationship and support to consolidate ongoing efforts in the cause of peace and national development,” concludes the communiqué.
