Jacinda Ardern, re-elected Prime Minister of New Zealand

President Danny Faure has sent a congratulatory message to the newly re-elected Prime Minister of New Zealand, Jacinda Ardern.

President Faure stated: “On the occasion of your re-election as the Prime Minister of New Zealand, the government and the people of Seychelles join me in extending our most sincere and warmest congratulations on this achievement.

“Your party’s remarkable victory is testament to the utmost trust and confidence that the people of New Zealand place in your leadership. This surely will serve as further inspiration in your firm commitment to execute your duties, for the continued development and prosperity of your country and your people.

“Your commendable leadership and compassion in the face of adversity, throughout your first-term, especially shown in guiding New Zealand through the recent Covid-19 pandemic, has truly been an inspiration to the world.”

President Faure concluded that Seychelles is committed to working closely with New Zealand and to take the excellent relationship that exists between the two countries to greater heights.
