Three persons suffer minor injuries in car accident |12 September 2020
Three persons in a blue i10 reported to the Seychelles Hospital yesterday and were treated for minor injuries, after which they were discharged, following an accident on Bois de Rose Avenue.
According to the police, these were the male driver of the i10 aged 21 years and his two passengers, an 18-year-old and a 34-year-old.
The car collided with a pick-up before it hit a wall and finally crashed into a tree.
Both the car and pick-up were making their way from town down towards Roche Caiman.
Assistant Superintendent Antoine Desnousse, head of the traffic section, noted that the car occupants were “very lucky” that a vehicle had not been in its way. He added that the accident could have resulted in fatalities if that had been the case.
Although not much can be ascertained at the moment, the evidences so far indicate an element of speeding.
In that regard, ASP Desnousse once again warned against speeding since it could result in fatalities.
An investigation is ongoing in the matter.
The accompanying photos taken by our photographer Anel Robert show the two vehicles involved in the accident.
