Sacos kick-starts 40th anniversary activities with school clean-up
Sacos, which celebrated its 40th anniversary on August 1, kick-started its commemorative activities with the clean-up and painting of the walls at the Mont Fleuri primary school.
A group of 13 staff were mobilised on Saturday for the first in a series of activities which Sacos will be collaborating with the school.
Jean Raguin, the head of human resources and administration at Sacos, said: “Today we came together to give back to the community. Sacos has been in existence for the last 40 years and we feel that without the support of the Seychelles people, we would not have reached where we are today. Thanks to our clients, Sacos has been financially stable and with different activities planned we are trying to give back to the community.”
The activity of cleaning up and painting of the walls lasted for half a day amid perfect weather.
Mr Raguin also explained that Sacos had to change the way it is operating in order to protect its staff and its clients.
To recall, Sacos is this year celebrating its 40th anniversary milestone in its journey as one of the leading insurance providers in Seychelles. The company has come a long way since the enactment of the State Assurance Corporation of Seychelles Act on August 1, 1980. Sacos was the household name during an era where many state-owned enterprises were renowned by their acronyms.
