President visits airport facilities |12 March 2025

President Wavel Ramkalawan visited the facilities of the Seychelles International Airport at Pointe Larue yesterday where he met with the heads of different entities and their employees.
He was accompanied by Vice-President Ahmed Afif; Transport Minister, Antony Derjacques; Internal Affairs Minister, Errol Fonseka; and chief executive of the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA), Garry Albert.
The visit started at the cargo area followed by the arrival and departure lounges.
The Head of State then chaired a meeting with the entities’ representatives including the Seychelles Revenue Commission, Seychelles Police, Customs and Immigration. The discussion focused on ongoing projects and future developments aimed at improving passenger experience and operational efficiency.
In an interview with the media, President Ramkalawan highlighted the Seychelles Airport’s strengths and areas requiring improvements and the importance of assessing the facilities’ current state.
