President Faure sends congratulatory message on Canada Day |03 July 2020

President Danny Faure has sent a message of congratulations to H.E. the Rt Hon. Julie Payette, Governor General of Canada in commemorating ‘Canada Day’.

“On the occasion of the 153rd anniversary of the Confederation of Canada (Canada Day), the government and the people of the Republic of Seychelles join me in expressing to you personally, to the government and to the people of Canada, our sincerest congratulations,” expressed President Faure.

The president further added that “As Commonwealth countries, the Republic of Seychelles highly values the long-standing and friendly relation between our nations, which is built on shared aspirations, and commitment towards peace, security and good governance. It is my fervent hope that the strong ties that exist between our countries will continue to blossom for the benefits of our peoples.”
