Seychelles, EU reaffirm fisheries partnership

The Republic of Seychelles and the European Union have reaffirmed their commitment to sustainable fisheries management following two major fisheries meetings held in Victoria on September 21 and 22.

The meetings comprised the first Joint Committee meeting under the 2026-2030 Implementing Protocol of the EU-Seychelles Sustainable Fisheries Partnership Agreement (SFPA) and the fourth Joint Committee meeting of the EU-Seychelles agreement governing access for Seychellois-flagged fishing vessels to the waters of Mayotte, which fall under European Union jurisdiction.
