Reading fiesta brings books to life for La Digue children
Around 50 young children from La Digue daycares took part in a Reading Fiesta organised by the National Library, combining storytelling, games and hands-on activities to promote early literacy. The event marked International Literacy Day 2026 and encouraged learning through play, interaction and exploration.
The Daycares Day Out Reading Fiesta, held at the district’s community centre, brought together children aged between two-and-a-half and three-and-a-half years.
